Stage61 Australia is a vibrant performing arts school dedicated to fostering creativity, confidence, and performance skills in students of all ages. We offer a range of programs including drama, debating, acting, and dance classes for children, teens, and adults.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher to deliver high-quality classes in our after school programs for grade 3-12 or adult courses 16+ in dance, acting, or singing. Candidates can apply for one or more disciplines. The ideal teacher will inspire students, nurture their artistic growth, and create a positive, supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in your chosen discipline(s) for various age groups.
• Develop students’ technical skills, performance confidence, and creative expression.
• Prepare students for showcases, performances, or competitions as required.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall curriculum.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and maintain progress records.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Experience teaching any form of dance, acting, or singing across multiple age groups.
• Strong knowledge of performance techniques and curriculum development.
• Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
• Current Working with Children Check and any relevant teaching certifications.

Desirable:

• Experience in musical theatre or stage productions.
• Ability to choreograph, direct, or teach singing.
• Experience preparing students for performances or showcases.
